Mitras Composites Systems GmbH has its origins in the Sächsische Glasfaserindustrie Wagner & Co., Sebnitz, which began to set up a laminating production facility in Radeburg in 1962 and was forcibly nationalized as VEB Sächsische Glasindustrie in 1968.

In 1982, the nationally owned company was incorporated into VEB Presswerk Ottendorf-Okrilla as facility Radeburg. Just one year later, the first presses for processing thermoset semi-finished products were set up.

In the course of privatization of state-owned enterprises, the site Radeburg was acquired by Mitras Kunststoffe Weiden GmbH in 1990.

In 1997, the Mitras Group's injection molding center opened in Radeburg, and just one year later a high-bay warehouse with around 2,000 storage spaces was built.

In 2002, the company separated from the Mitras Group in Weiden and joined senata GmbH Freising, formerly All-Finanz. Since then we have existed as Mitras Composites Systems GmbH.

4 years later the injection molding production received an extension and after 2 more years the machinery was extended by the acquisition of a new 10.000 kN - press as well as a 13.000 kN - injection molding machine.

In 2010, the company acquired three more injection molding machines with clamping forces of 2,000, 4,200 and 6,600 kN, followed two years later by two new presses with clamping forces of 6,000 and 10,000 kN and a milling machine.

The foundation stone of the automation offensive was laid in 2017 with the purchase of 10 SMC cutting systems.

From 2018, the installation of robots took place step by step. They are used for automatic press loading and part removal.

In the same year, we expanded our capacity with two large presses.

Starting in 2019, we continuously invested in the area of automated part deburring. With this step we achieve a fully automated production process (One Piece Flow).

In 2020, the Managing Director took over as the sole shareholder of Mitras Composites Systems GmbH as part of a management buyout (MBO). Thus, Mitras Composites Systems became an independent family business.

Mitras Composites Systems GmbH continuously invests in the site in order to always be able to offer its customers modern, innovative and reliable technologies and high-quality products.
